eSprinter Battery Range and Specs
While there have been previous electric vans from Mercedes-Benz on the commercial market, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter builds on the former models with the latest battery technology that provides Indian Wells delivery drivers and contractors with improved battery range. Here are some of the specs we know about the 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter so far:
- Electric Sprinter Range: European eSprinters have a battery range of around 200 miles. The EPA hasn’t released estimates for the U.S. eSprinter battery range yet, but it’s expected to be comparable.
- Electric Sprinter Battery: The current eSprinter utilizes a 113 kWh battery.
- Electric Sprinter Specs: The eSprinter van has a cargo capacity of 488 cubic feet on a 170-inch wheelbase. It can carry up to 2,624 pounds of payload. Using a Level 2/9.6 kW charger, the battery can be fully charged in 12-13 hours. With a DC fast-charging station, a full battery charge should only take about 42 minutes.
Electric Sprinter Van Price and Release Date
The eSprinter has already been at work in the European market, but we’re still waiting for release dates and pricing information for the United States models. Production is predicted to begin in the last half of 2023. Mercedes-Benz of Palm Springs will update as we get more information from Mercedes-Benz.
